Dealing with Real Issues
We, the men, gathered at CCTS on November 19, 2005, believing that while God has called all people to come to him, that there is a special and needed role for men in the faith. We have come out of concern to identify ways and means by which men can contribute and participate in activities, Bible Study, and Worship to enhance their faith.
We come sharing ideas and concerns of our Indian churches and communities. We recognize the diversity of our cultures and traditions. We believe the role of men is extremely important, that men should be priests in their own households. By that we do not mean that men need to hold some office in the church, but that the quality of family and community life will be strengthened.
We propose to develop a program by involving a cadre of men who would be willing to share their faith with others, be a positive role model or mentor for other men and work for a program of men’s ministry in the church and community.
Four workshops in the areas of:
Identity Crisis
Leadership Development
Bible Study Opportunities,
and Fishing Stories
