This is a great weekend to come out and improve your canoe skills. Whether you are a beginner paddler, ready to learn new skills, or an expert looking to get some time on the water, this is the perfect weekend for you. The weekend will start with a reception Friday night, where we will go over basic paddling technique and river safety. On Saturday we will be traveling an hour north to the Illinois River to enjoy a wonderful day on the water. On the river you will have an opportunity to practice canoe skills, swim in the clear, cool water and enjoy a delicious riverside lunch. We would like to invite individuals of all abilities to join us for this incredible weekend on the river. Children 5 and older are welcome with parents; we have personal flotation devices for children weighing 50-90 lbs. For any children under 50 lbs parents will need to supply their own coast guard approved personal flotation device. We will provide all equipment for the trip as well as transportation for the Saturday float. Beat the heat this August with this incredible float trip!
