Throughout the fall season, Jody, Dwight Mission’s Executive Chef will be hosting four cooking retreats to get you inspired in the kitchen. First up will be a Southern Cooking retreat August 16-18. This retreat will feature a menu of locally sourced food and dishes from Dwight Mission’s history. To celebrate football season, Jody will be hosting a tailgating party retreat. Guests will learn to plan the ultimate tailgating spread to make your next football party event a huge success! This retreat will be September 20-22. October’s cooking retreat will feature international cuisine, with an emphasis on the influence of different cultures on our region. Lastly, join Jody on November 15-17 where you will get into the holiday spirit by creating the perfect holiday menu. This retreat will also feature how to create a holiday meal on a budget. Each retreat will feature menu preparation, as well as food safety and basic nutrition. We look forward to cooking with you, and starting a new tradition with these fun and exciting cooking retreats!

We are thrilled to introduce Jody, Dwight Mission’s new Executive Chef. Jody joined Dwight Mission in April 2019 and we have been loving all he has been doing to create delicious and nutritious meals throughout the summer!
Jody a classically trained chef who has been in the restaurant and hospitality industry for almost 30 years, as well as an Executive chef for 20 years. He has worked in many different areas from food trucks to large casinos, hotels and universities. Jody has developed menus for several local restaurants and was in charge of high profile catering events before joining the Dwight Mission family. As a chef, his focus is on food safety, employee training, menu development and day to day operations of the kitchen.
