Dwight welcomes new Executive Director
Dwight Mission Camp and Conference Center is pleased to announce Rev. Dr. Robert J. Duncan, Jr. as the organization’s new Executive Director. This is a new position with a familiar title. The Executive Director will provide leadership to the campaign and for the future ministry of Dwight Mission.
Duncan’s experience and strengths in pastoral ministry, nonprofit management, planned giving and development, as well as administrative leadership, combine to enhance and strengthen Dwight Mission’s vision for the future.
“Dwight Mission’s history of service combined with its current vital ministry attracted my interest. I believe that God has called me to help Dwight Mission continue in its journey of service into a future that offers a ministry that is: ONSITE|OFFSITE|ONLINE.” — Dr. Duncan
As a United Methodist Minister, Duncan served under appointment as a Local Church Pastor in New Jersey, as the Planned Giving Officer with the United Methodist Homes of New Jersey, Director of Institutional Advancement & Doctor of Ministry Faculty at Drew University, and as President and Professor of Religion at Bacone College in Muskogee, OK.
Duncan will work closely with Peter Newbury, who will shift into the newly created position of Camp Operations Director.
Becky Elliott, Board President, shares, “We are so excited to have Rob Duncan lead our Dwight Mission team into the future. Our hope is that Rob’s wealth of experience, combined with Peter Newbury’s excellent knowledge of the camp and conference industry, will take Dwight Mission to the next level.”
