2019 Summer Camps Descriptions

Family Camp, May 24 – 27

Memorial Day Weekend Family Camp is our most popular camp and is the ultimate family vacation for kids from 0-102!   This weekend is for families of all shapes and sizes including singles.  It includes time for everyone to grow closer to God through bible study, experience God’s creation, and enjoy fellowship with other believers.  Families can chose to participate in our many traditional camp activities including canoeing, swimming, archery, arts and crafts, and many more.  Families will be housed in private rooms in our dorms. If you would like to discuss a room upgrade, contact us directly.Participants ages 8 years and older $190, Children 7 years and younger are free. Household Family Max is $540.

Counselor in Training (CIT)

Grades 10-Grads

June 2 - 8

CITs will first attend a week long training session to gain valuable counseling skills, then choose a second week to come back and volunteer as a junior counselor.  This is the second step in our summer leadership training programs.  Attending LIT is not required to be a CIT, but is recommended.    Application is due by April 1st. Only 16 applicants will be accepted. $525

Elementary Camps

Grades 3-5

Sessions I: June 9 – 15, II: June 16 – 22, III: June 23 – 9, IV: July 7 – 13

Great counselors, great friends, and great fun!  A whole week of energizers, art and crafts, sports, singing, dancing, bible study, swimming, and so much more.  All on over 200 acres of God’s beautiful creation!  $450

Junior High Camps

Grades 6-9

Sessions I: June 9 – 15, II: June 16 – 22, III: June 23 – 29, IV: July 7 – 13

This week is an opportunity to be yourself, have fun, and grow closer to God.  Campers will participate in activities such as challenge course, archery, bible study, dodge ball, arts and crafts, singing, dancing, canoeing, and ropes course with zip lining.  $450

Senior High Camps

Grades 10-Grads

Session I: June 9 – 15, II: July 7-13 

Deepen your relationship with God while enjoying all the traditional camp activities such as games, bible study, singing, arts and crafts, energizers, challenge course, canoeing, and swimming.   This week is sure to be the highlight of your summer. Bring a new friend to camp and you both get a discount.  $550

Leadership in Training (LIT)

Grades 10-12

June 16 - 29

 LIT is a two-week camp which focuses on learning the skills necessary to be a summer camp counselor as well as a leader in life.  You will practice working together as a  team to solve challenges.  You will learn how to teach and lead activities for younger children like energizers and group games. .  LITs may participate in both on and offsite activities through their stay. Application is due by April 1st. Only 16 applicants will be accepted.  $750

Jr. & Sr. High Adventure Camps

Jr. High - Grades 6-9

Sr. High - Grades 10-12

June 30 - July 6

These specialty camps allow campers to spend time in the great outdoors enjoying every possible activity we can fit into a week. This group travels around in a camp van to different locations for tent and backpack camping  They enjoy activities such as: caving, rock climbing, rappelling, hiking, canoeing, and more.  Pack light for big fun.   Price: $550

Night Owl Camps

July 7-13

Sessions: Elementary IV, Jr. High IV, Sr. High II

If your idea of a perfect summer day is to stay up late and sleep in, this is THE camp for you!  Enjoy the added fun of night swims, night crawlers, and other special after dark activities along with all of the normal camp activities. Bring a new friend that has never been to Dwight Mission and get a discount!  $450

Onsite Adventure Camp

Grades 6-9

July 7 - 13

Enjoy a week of tent camping down by Sallisaw Creek on the Dwight Mission campus.  Enjoy the brilliant stars at night and the fresh air experiencing all the outdoors have to offer. Price: $550
